Project Description
Sylvia Park has matured from a suburban internalised retail precinct to now an outward reaching urban mixed-use precinct. The Sylvia Lane project repositions the existing major pedestrian entry to a significant Gateway marker, providing strong visual entry, clarity, and comfort amenity to this important nodal point.
The project involved the creation of a signalised intersection, which prioritises pedestrian movements. A new colonnade provides a visually permeable edge to the plaza while sheltering pedestrians and provides a formal sense of arrival. The new canopy extends year-round occupied space beyond indoor retail and hospitality spaces and provides additional sheltered areas between spaces.
