More SAS than regular army, we operate on a best-for-project basis. Our nimble and responsive approach to meeting client requirements is based on selecting the right team. Our people have a value-add mindset and we ensure their expertise and skills match project objectives – there is no deadwood.
Best-for-project thinking, holistic evaluation processes, and clear communication and decision making are hallmarks of Precon-led projects.
“Every project is different. What is constant is the tension between time, cost and value (the Project Triangle). From project conception, we evaluate various options, each considered through this lens of triple constraints”.

At Precon we acknowledge the effects of environmental change and embrace adopting environmentally sustainable practices within our office and on our projects.
We are champions for investigation of appropriate environmental solutions during design, exploring various environmentally sustainable design options, evaluating outcomes in terms of our client’s ethos as a responsible community member, cost (both capital costs and operational), programme and ongoing maintenance considerations. Precon has four Green Star Practitioners and one Green Star Accredited Professional. The business is also a member of the New Zealand Green Building Council.
