Project Description
This project was the largest of five University of Auckland building refurbishments that facilitated the relocation of the UoA’s Faculty of Education and Social Work (EDSW) from the University’s Epsom Campus to the City Campus.
The B201 development encompassed a significant refurbishment of the North and Eastern wings (B201E & B201N) of the UoA’s School of Social Sciences building. Ultimately becoming the home to EDSW teaching programs and staff accommodation as well as the Faculty of Arts.
Precon’s Role
Precon were engaged by the University to provide comprehensive project management services from the projects’ conception (in mid-2019) to completion of Construction (in 2024).
The project team’s tireless work was recoginised at the Property Council New Zealand’s (PCNZ) Property Industry Awards, where the B201 Project achieved Excellence in all categories in which the building was entered as well as Best in Category for Sustainability.
