Project Description
A significant refurbishment of a mission critical research facility for the University of Auckland on their City Campus site for the School of Biological Sciences. The Thomas Building houses PC1 and PC2 laboratories in an historic building which was facing significant challenges to business continuity.
Precon’s Role
Precon were engaged by the UoA to project manage the safe removal of contaminated materials and failing building services, all the while maintaining business continuity. The project required temporary decanting of non-essential research functions, and a floor by floor sequential refurbishment to enable continuity of research activities.
