Project Description

This project was part of the decant works to enable the demolition of the existing B403-404 Buildings to make way for the new B405 Engineering Building. The works include 4 permanent Multi-Disciplinary Learning Spaces (flexible lab spaces), and associated support areas, which will form part of the overall redevelopment of the Faculty of Engineering (FoE) City campus buildings. The MDLS are a new type of teaching space for the Faculty of Engineering that are essentially a test bed for similar MDLS spaces within the new building.

Physically located on the UoA’s Sector 400 North this project shares common interfaces in terms of architecture, structure and building services (including fire protection) with the new B405 Project.
