Client:                    Tātaki Auckland Unlimited
Sector:                   Heritage
Completion:          Mid-2025

Project Description

The Auckland Art Gallery was completed in 1887 and has become a landmark in the Auckland city scape contributing both architecturally and culturally as it has remained as a gallery  for it’s entire life span.

Auckland Art Gallery is an intrinsic part of the Auckland streetscape and has retained its outstanding architectural character despite many modifications since construction.

The Art Gallery Refurbishment Project includes the replacement of the slate roof, full restoration of the façade and reinstatement of heritage elements removed or poorly remediated in the past

The art gallery remains functional during the execution of the remedial work which has required the building to remain safe for its occupants and secure during the entire period of construction.
