Project Description

The Park West Development has provided the UoA with circa 19,500m² GFA including basement carpark (15,400m² GFA excluding basement carpark), with an estimated 9,700m² Useable Floor Area (UFA) for teaching, clinic and academic programmes.

Key design drivers included the adoption of two repeating elements (repetition of grid modules to assist programme), with a unique central linking element or Hinge providing access, connectivity and community. The building consists of 5 occupied levels with a single Basement level providing carparking.

Precon’s Role

Faced with a tight programme to meet a pending lease expiry. The UoA approached Precon to provide comprehensive project management services, inclusive options studies and buildability advice. Precon facilitated design and procurement strategies that enabled the earliest possible start to construction. Key to project implementation was informed decision making and early engagement with key subcontractors.
